Topic: Systems of Interacting Constraints and Local and Global Behavioral Invariants
By: Reuben Rabi (MIT)
A basic theme is the manner in which local constraints realized by nonlinear systems interact with each other to realize global constraints. Two specific examples of my work are: [a] Coding and decoding around \'graph-based\' codes in digital communication. [b] The relationship between behavioural invariants of the constituent parts of an affine nonlinear dynamical system and those of the overall system.
